08/29/09 – Lost Wax Method – The lost wax method is another form of glass casting. In this procedure any type of wax that can be molded and carved is used to create a form. The wax is then encased in plaster and allowed to setup. Once the form has cured, the wax is removed by melting. The empty shell is now prepared for receiving molten glass.
